Welcome to Miss Callie's Year Nine Homeroom

I am so glad to be your Homeroom teacher this year! I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and your families.

Here is a little information about me. I have taught in the US, Italy, Portugal and now Hong Kong. I love teaching Maths but I also love performing (drama and voice) and sports (running, hiking anjd swimming) and reading (especially historicall accurate fiction). I am a believer in experiential learning and service learning. I like kids. I know I have learned more from my students than they have learned from me. I love being involved in the pastoral care of students, either as a Homeroom teacher, a Head of Year or Dean of Students. I feel that this role is critical to the development of whole-individuals. I think humour goes a long way to healing upset hearts and minds.
