Today we interviewed each other and then we introduced each other to Miss Callie. Miss Callie had to remember something about each of us. Here is what she remembers:
Bruce has a sister.
Joanne always forgets her school bag.
Flora loves to eat anything sweet. She likes art and the colour aquamarine.
Janice likes to draw and she likes dessert.
Jeffrey likes sports. He is a joy to have in class; he makes everyone happy.
Marcus like sports. He is very tall.
Keith likes basketball and tennis. He is not going to be late to school again.
We also created a time capsule. Each of us answered questions about what we like and what we want to do with our lives and folded the paper so nobody else could see what we wrote. We wrote our names on the outside. Then we put our papers into a big envelope and Miss Callie closed the envelope and she will keep it locked in her office all year. We will open the envelope in June to see how much we have changed during Grade 9.
We got our lockers and ID cards and chose buddies. A good first day!
